It’s only been a month since we brought our dog home and her new collar is already extremely tarnished and scratched. She’s not an active dog, sleeps mostly during the day, and we live in the city with only a small courtyard…it’s not like she’s even an outdoor dog. Very disappointing quality for the price :(

Thank you for taking the time to write us with your feedback. Our collar buckles are made out of zinc alloy that is gold plated. Unfortunately, because of the internal spring mechanism / detailed internal molding required in a buckle and also the weight of solid brass, buckles cannot be made out of solid brass (they are all either made from zinc alloy or Aluminium). We have been working with our buckle manufacturer on different types of plating with the goal of improving the plating and significantly reducing the discoloration issue. We have a new type of vacuum-electroplated buckle right now at a lab being tested. I'm hoping that we can find a way to significantly reduce or eliminate the scratching and discoloration. :)
Dog Collar Size Guide
There are no standard collar sizes. As a result, we strongly recommend measuring your dog's neck to ensure the right collar size.
Measuring Tips: Measure your pup's neck with a soft tape measure, pulling the tape snug but not tight (if you don't have a tape measure, use a piece of string and then measure the string with a ruler). Allow sufficient room to slip two fingers between the collar and your pup's neck.
