Dog Jacket Size Guide

There are no standard jacket sizes and every dog’s body is shaped differently, so we recommend measuring your dog for the perfect fit.

Measuring Tips: Use a soft tape measure, pulling the tape snug but not tight. The chest girth is the most important measurement and should be taken around the widest part of your dog’s chest, from the top of the shoulders to the bottom of the ribcage. For the back length, measure from the bottom of your dog’s neck to the base of his tail.

Note: If your dog is extra furry, we recommend sizing up. Similarly, if your dog is between sizes, we recommend going up one size for comfort and freedom of movement.

Perfect!
My rescue dog is an interesting shape. She has a broad chest and narrow hips. Finding clothes to fit her chest usually means the bottom half is big. This jacket is a trim fit, but it works!! Then I worried about putting her harness underneath - it's a bit chunky. But leaving the top bottom open - which is chic anyway - solved the problem. Very cute jacket, great quality, and it fits the unusually shaped. Perfect!

Excellent Quality
I was really excited to receive the Sherpa lined jacket. Great navy color for my pup. I got the maple plaid bandana to go with it and they look great together! The snaps fit him perfectly. He is a 16 lb maltipoo and the Small just fit him. It's very warm and cozy. He's going to look dapper on his walks this fall when the temperature drops.

Gorgeous and well made
This jacket is absolutely gorgeous and well made. I can tell its going to be a great winter coat for our dog. We also have a 25 pound dog (like the model) but the medium did not fit her, the arm holes were snug right up to her pits. But TFD has an excellent exchange policy so we got the large instead, no cost.
