I was having issues with the clasp on my collar but am really impressed with the amazing customer service! I now have a new collar that has a much better clasp and am having no issues! Love love love and will definitely be buying from here again in the future.
I recently left a negative review that I have to amend - the Foggy Dog explained how to adjust the collar so that it was the proper way to use the collar, and with that *very very very simple* adjustment, the collar is perfect! Amazing quality, super stylish, and excellent customer service. Buying more collars in different collars right now! Highly recommend.
This collar is the dumbest design I've ever seen. The release buckle doesn't actually release any portion of the collar. To take it on and off, you have to slide it over your dog's head. The loop where you attach the leash pulls the doubled up fabric away from our dog's neck, instead of the collar portion attached to her neck. Hard to describe but then again it's hard to understand why a collar would be designed like this. Don't buy this collar! Disappointed. I love Foggy Dog's bandanas, so thought the collars would be great too, but I was wrong.
We are so glad you reached out. It sounds and looks like the collar is on incorrectly :) Sometimes there can be confusion because two 'loops' are created when a collar is at or near the smallest length adjustment.
Here is how to use the side-release buckle collars:
Take the collar off your dog, unclasp the metal buckle, and lay it down flat. It should look like a straight line.
Move the metal slide adjuster (the rectangular piece) to make the collar as long as possible. You will see that the collar becomes a long straight line with no second 'loop' or excess fabric
Move the slide adjuster back to the correct length for your dog. You'll see a 'loop' created by the excess fabric. This loop should be ignored
Place the open collar around your dog's neck and then click the buckle into place to close the collar.
When on correctly, the metal buckle on the collar should be lying flush against your dog's neck, and there should not be an extra loop dangling off.
I hope that helps! Feel free to reach out to our customer service team at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any other questions.
I wanted to love this! The hard wear is gorgeous, but the fabric was quite thin and lots of loose threads coming off of it. Doesn't seem like it will hold up over time. Sadly I will be returning.
Thank you so much for this feedback! I'm sorry the Ruby Collar didn't work out for you and your pup. Hopefully we can make it up to you in the future.
This was my first big boy collar for my baby boy Milo! It looks so good on him and made of good quality materials! I love the gold clasp, it’s been about a week and not a scratch! Can’t wait to order the leash! Thanks again!
Dog Collar Size Guide
There are no standard collar sizes. As a result, we strongly recommend measuring your dog's neck to ensure the right collar size.
Measuring Tips: Measure your pup's neck with a soft tape measure, pulling the tape snug but not tight (if you don't have a tape measure, use a piece of string and then measure the string with a ruler). Allow sufficient room to slip two fingers between the collar and your pup's neck.
